In the context of busines sales, a teaser refers to a brief document or presentation created by the seller or their representatives to generate initial interest among potential buyers. Also known as a “one-pager” or “executive summary,” the teaser provides a concise overview of the business without revealing sensitive or confidential information. It typically includes key highlights such as the company’s industry, financial performance, market position, and growth potential. The goal of the teaser is to attract potential buyers and encourage them to express interest in obtaining more detailed information through a formal process, such as signing a confidentiality agreement and receiving a full confidential information memorandum (CIM).
