Normalized Earnings

In the context of mergers and acquisitions, normalized earnings refer to the adjusted or normalized financial performance of a business, often calculated to provide a more accurate reflection of its sustainable earning capacity. Normalized earnings seek to eliminate unusual or non-recurring items, as well as any distortions in financial statements that might not reflect the ongoing operating performance of the business.
