These associations serve as a platform for certification, networking, education, adherence to a code of ethics, and the exchange of information among professionals involved in buying and selling businesses. The two largest associations of business brokers in Canada include IBBA Canada (International Business Brokers Association Canada: www.ibbacanada.org) and AM&AA (Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors: www.amaaonline.com).
